Subject:         need ideas for a co-op class for girls.

Hi,

I could really use some help from someone more creative than me- LOL. I will be teaching a class this Jan. for our h/sing co-op and the class proposals need to be in by mid Nov. I want to teach girls ages 12-16ish, so it needs to be age appropiate. I only have 3 ideas and even with them I'm not sure how to put it together into a 10 week semester.
Here it is:
1. A hope chest for todays modern girl. - Basically, my idea is to present a history on what a hope chest is and how it was used in the past. Then move on to why a girl needs one today and then begin learning about what to put in there, how to collect those items, and make different items to put in there. I'm just not sure I'd have enough to do 10 weeks! Suggestions or further ideas?

2. Issues girls face today. - I want to cover things such as, true beauty, importance of daily devotionals, mean girls/cliques, modesty, etc. (nothing about sex). Suggestions or further ideas?

3. Useful and fun crafts for girls. - I thought about having a different craft every week or every other week. However, these crafts need to be more than create a friendship bracelet. They need to appeal to the age and be fun and useful yet not outrageously expensive. If you have any ideas at all I'd really appreciate it.

Feel free to leave me other class ideas too. I'm open for suggestions! Thanks!!!!
