I would guess there are a combination of reasons, but especially (1) the feeling that arose when a great number of us were banned for various reasons (mostly from the for-sale boards, but no warnings or followup communication, so the tone of the board changed) and (2) the overwhelming ads appearing on our computers, which also causes long lead-time to read the boards and some yucky ads to reach our eyeballs.

I for one certainly understand the need to have rules and the need to raise funds, but there are just other homeschool boards now that don't seem to have to make the same choices for resolving those issues?

I still check in over here on occasion to see if any newbies need help, since this board still shows up in many lists for newbies. I also have fond memories of conversations here and am always up for finding tons of conversation like before :o)
