my big issue for my neices and nephews was simply that the academic work was too easy for them. They have a good family and actually since they are going to be out in the working world eventually anyway, it seemed to work better dealing with those issues while still at home with some family guidance, rather than facing it all at once, for the very first time, in a college dorm or a first apartment and job hundreds of miles from home.
