I did not start my three sons until they were in 4th, 2nd and preschool, but we had so much fun. I did KONOS with them and they loved the hands on activities and reading stories to learn. We used The Greenleaf Guide to Old Testament History for a couple years for history and Bible. I waited until all were old enough to listen and learn from it. They loved it and wanted to do more Bible studies like it-I never found any that peaked their interest like that again.

For strictly Bible lessons I strongly suggest just reading the Bible - be sure to add inflection and drama as you read the words. One comment I took to heart from one other poster a few years ago was how that was all they ever did in their family and how people always commented that her children knew the Bible so well. Sometimes we just make things way more difficult than they should be. You will have teachable moments through the day that allow you to refer back to what you read. Pray about where God wants you to start and go for it! Enjoy your journey!
