Subject:	10th grade History & Writing Curriculum questions

Please share with me what curriculum you recommend for 10th grade in history and in writing/English.

Our son has been using Beautiful Feet for history but he has recently found the reading boring. He needs a curriculum where he feels more involved than sitting down reading a book (as wonderful as they are!) This year he wants to learn about US & World History. We've done Medieval History and are waiting until 12th grade for Ancient History. He LOVES anything to do with WW1 and WW2, so we're looking forward to finding something that will peek his interest.

He also has used WriteShop for writing, yet we now need to find him a good quality writing program that will prepare him for college. HELP! This is one area I'm not very good in. I'm not a good writer myself and I want him to excel, so I need help. I'd love to hear your ideas.
