You don't really need a kit for the "explosion" part. Just put a couple tablespoons of baking soda in something, & add vinegar. Some add a little dishsoap for foam or a little food coloring.

Are you wanting to build the mountain part? You can build that out of clay, if you like. Just make sure it won't dissolve when wet. We have a little plastic mountain. You can add little model dinosaurs & such for fun :o)
