Latina Christian is a mom and user friendly option. They have both levels 1 and 2. (there is also Prima Latina for younger kids, but is probably not for you) I, too, have an 8th grader (next year) and we will use Latina Christiana level 1. They have CD's to hear the pronunciation. There are also DVD's available. They are published by Memoria Press, but I have found them a bit cheaper at www.acbooks.net
