Some libraries offer Rosetta Stone free over the internet. Here in Alabama, it used to be the Birmingham public library and I know that some homeschool families paid an out of county fee to get a library card just so they could get Rosetta Stone free. I haven't seen much on that resource lately, but the Decatur library offers it now. You can check it out if you type in www and then add dec.lib.al.us

I don't know about their French, but a friend who is a native of Mexico and who teaches Spanish to homeschool students says that RS is the best program to teach Spanish the way that Mexicans speak Spanish.
