I have been using Calvert French with 11yodd and although she is learning, I don't like the format. I'd like to try something different next year.
Has anybody here ever switched language currics? Going from say level 1 to level 2. And were you successful? Any tips?

I had pretty much decided on Rosetta Stone for next year if I do make the switch but I'm afraid it will be out of our price range, even if I find it used for half price, that's still $100!!! Way beyond what I normally pay for any one subject.

I happened upon a free copy of Power Glide Children's French and I'm thinking about trying it but I'm not sure if I want to finish out the year with what I'm using then move on or try this right now. Any thoughts?

I notice this copy I have is for level 2 except the teachers guide doesn't state which level it's for but I know it coincides with the first book. I can not find teacher's guides for level 2. Does it not exist? Do they only provide a guide for level 1?

Anybody use Power Glide? What are your thoughts please?

TIA!
