I'm sure you're not going nuts. It IS hard to see
them sprout wings and fly away. I am blessed to
still have kids at home but my 3 oldest are grown
and gone. Our 3rd dd seems so far away spirit and in distance. She and I
were the closest of all of my children...not that I
felt like I played favorites, but we just *were*.
She was my tomato stake...she always wanted to be
involved with what I was doing...EVERYTHING. Then
she got her first job, started college locally, and
it was like she cut herself off. She did not make a
gradual transition from being our child to being an
adult. It happened too quickly for me.
You may not even ever read this since you posted
over a month ago and may not check back. But please
know you did your job and it's just time to move on.
Invest extra time in your marriage. Make your
husband's favorite meals, keep working out, make
some new friends. Your life is NOT over.
