Holly, Have you checked into Math-U-See? I've used this for 16 years and 4 kids, different learning styles, but it worked for each because it's very multisensory. I love that it teaches more than just rote memorization of facts and operations - it emphasizes learning the concepts so that they understand word problems (which are real-life applications for math.) It also uses VERY helpful manipulatives from K-Algebra 1, excellent for hands-on and visual learners. Lastly, the sequence is different than most curricula because instead of teaching a lot of concepts over and over again every year, it immerses the student in one skill set at a time, building sequentially, which makes so much sense since math is a sequential subject. They master one skill set before moving on to the next. There isn't a new lesson every day - only about once a week. Reasonably priced. Check out www.mathusee.com
