I know what you mean about the travel. When our kids were little,
we were not at home for one Christmas and did not like it. It just
did not feel like Christmas. So even though we have no family
around at all out here, the kids like being at home on Christmas
morning. Having no family around means that I have had to be sure
that the day is full of activity--mostly so I don't cry. LOL It really
makes me sad to not be near family, but I don't want to be in
someone else's house on Christmas morning.
We have established a lot of traditions and we like them.
That's neat about the phone service. Our kids do not have phones
and do not call anyone, anyway, so it is thankfully not an issue
here.
I have never played Balderdash...maybe I'll ask one of the
grandparents to get it for our kids. :o)
I love my freezer. My kids are 18, 16, 13, and 11...I think I would
have one even if they were not at home, though. I like to bake and
cook ahead and take advantage of sales on turkeys this time of
year.
Today iss dd11's birthday and tomorrow, a ds turns 16.
Unbelievable. I am positively swamped with things to do, so I'd
better go do them. I don't even have gifts wrapped or cake baked!
LOL
Mary
