Prayer is about worshiping God and communicating with him. Knowing Him. It seems odd that talking to him helps us know him better, but God does a lot of things opposite to the way we think they should work. I think he did that on purpose, so we can tell the difference between what He is and everything else.

Whether we live in a wheelchair or not (for example, or in a typical American house vs in an Indonesian dump) doesn't really matter compared to whether we are willing to give up whatever it is we are holding back from God.

Changing the effects of a car accident (wheelchair or not, for example), are minor compared to pouring out your heart to God and giving him all your fear and anguish and letting him give you His peace and understanding.
