| | Subject: | How to convince a friend that prayer means something... | |
Date: | October 14, 2008 at 6:26 am PST |
I have had countless arguments/discussions with this person. He believes in God but doesn't believe He cares about us and listens to prayer and that since that our lives are pre-destined by God why bother to pray because it won't change anything or the outcome. For example if someone were to get hit by a car and near death, why bother praying if God already knows the outcome. he says what's the point if fate has it that your going to die, why pray. anyone have any advice on what I can say back to him? he is just so lost and am trying to help. I know he wants someone to prove to him wrong, he even said that and brings up this subject frequently... nothing complicated, has to be simple :)...thanks!
