DD had gone to Spain with her spanish class. We had given her a credit card/calling card so she could call us. Her roommates "borrowed" it to call her boyfriend, promising to pay her back. She didn't..claimed she dind't have any money but lunch money when she got back home. Apparently she couldn't ask her parents for money as she would have been in trouble for calling the boyfriend. WEeks later we are sitting at DD end of the year speech banquet with a bunch of parents whose children had also been on the Spaine trip. DH was thrilling everyone with this story of the girl who owed us fifty bucks for our credit card. I nudged him and said drop it, the mom is sitting on your other side. He said, ooopes..I guess it was your daughter to the woman on his left.

Later the Mom had her daughter by the elbow as they walked out of the room..and we had the money the next day.

We had the money the next day
