We bought bright graduation gift sacks and put some plants in them. Choose your colors. I bought the cheaper 6-packs of flowers and put the 6-pack (which fit perfectly) in the sack. You will have to be creative on something in the sack to raise the flowers (but not the tray) up to be above the top of the sack. Another friend did the same thing but used individual flowers. We both had boys, so it doesn't matter that way.
The flowers were put in the garden later and some were given as thank-you gifts to those who helped serve. The sacks are waiting to be used for my next son, but you could use them to wrap graduation gifts next year.
You can use tissue paper in the sacks and have balloons weighted down and coming out of the sack. Just another idea with the sacks.
