14 yo not happy w/Teaching Textbooks Math, other recommendations.

My son just turned 14 and we are in the middle of TT 7. He mentioned a few days ago he is having a hard time still understanding it. We are doing fractions right now which is his least favorite part of math. What has worked for your teens? Thanks.
