My oldest is finishing 10th grade this year. We have used both Khan Academy & Teaching Textbooks. I have heard that TT is behind most other curriculums. But for us it was either she did it on a very delayed schedule or with TT. We are in a similar situation with my husband working both a full time & part time job. I can not teach her as I am not confident in high school math. She did Pre-Algebra & Algebra with TT. Now she is doing Algebra II & will do Geometry with Khan Academy. In her opinion both are very similar. The only differences I've found so far is that Khan is a little more advanced & you have to do your own grading & testing. Considering our extremely tight budget & the cost of TT we find going with Khan is much better for our family. HTH!
