We have used Singapore for years. I would say for the younger grades you could skip the Teacher's Guides if you feel confident in teaching & understand the style of teaching Singapore uses. Maybe from 3rd grade up I would purchase the TG. Definitely from 5th grade & up. Remember their math is about .5 to a full year ahead of most other math curriculums.
