You might take a look at Teaching Textbooks. A couple of my kids have some LD issues (memory, dyslexia, visual/auditory processing). I can't swear to it's success(we're starting it in the fall), but there is an easy way to check it out. Go to their website, they have sample lessons and placement tests. Most folks will tell you that their grade levels are a bit off (ie 5th could be done by a 4th grader), but since my daughter is a bit behind anyway, it works to our advantage, as we can say she's only a "little" behind (buying 5th for 6th grade), rather than her feeling bad for being 2 grades behind. It is an expensive curriculum, but if you go through the sample lessons & placement test, you may be able to find it used off of Vegsource or ebay. I've also heard some good reviews of Life of Fred math, & Video text. I have previously used Moving with Math, but it is hands on like Math u see, so it doesn't sound like that would work. You might take a look at Making Math Meaningful too. Also, I have found that if she doesn't get a concept from the curriculum, the internet is a wonderful resource for alternate ways to teach an identical concept. God Bless! Anita
