Subject:	How to Teach "The Writing Road to Reading" aka Spalding Method

Hi folks,

I'm a little embarrassed to even ask this question. I took the instructional class, got all the materials, earned the certificate, but really implementing the Spalding method has proven to be very confusing for me.

We learned the skills to be taught, but never really got a reasonable plan to follow. The books, oh my, I think they use 500 words to say what they could in 100 words and every chapter seems to have this history lesson about and a tribute to Romalda Spalding. (zzz zzzzzzz)

I'm so frustrated with how cumbersome it is I thought I would come here and see if anyone know of a simple step by step way to teach this program?

Or maybe a webpage that lays out simple "how to" instructions? Every page I've found is commercial.

I am using the program for my last child who is the only one to struggle with reading and writing, he's older and we recently discovered is a tad bit dyslexic.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thank you :-)
