I've been a reading tutor for the past ten years, working with children who have various learning challenges. The program that I've found most universally helpful is PhonoGraphiX, as it works on segmenting, blending, auditory processing, from the very beginning three-letter words to multisyllable management. Some students also profit from Earobics. I've trained tutors to use Reading Reflex and it is probably one of the best readily available programs in book form at your book store...perhaps even your library where you could check it out before making a purchase. I recommend that you read the book before you begin.
