what i have learned so far:

Saxon Adv way too tedious for non math major! I like that they have Al and Geom review in that program tho.

I heard the same about TT as you have experinced.

here is another program i heard about on another board:
thinkwell (sonlight has it) found a blogger whose daughter is liking it after trying to use TT.

this boards are so helpful-and isn't hsing great-just switch programs!!!
