My 13 y/o has always struggled with math. I have tried multiple programs over the years with little success. She did get the basics down on paper but don't ask her what 25% off that shirt that cost $20 is when you are at the store because she doesn't have a clue.

Again, on paper she does okay - not great but she passes the tests. Over the years we have used Math U See, Professor B, Excel and Saxon. She hated them all.

We have attempted Algebra this year. To say she isn't getting it is an understatement. She does test into the Algebra level. We have Teaching Textbooks and Life of Fred plus an online class and she doesn't get any of them.

I know it isn't necessary to say this but she is a smart kid. She just passed 9th grade honors English and History with 98% and 97%. She excels in all subjects except math.

I am at a total loss. We have homeschooled from day 1 and this is the first time I have felt like totally throwing in the towel. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
