I have a confession to make. I'm not good at math! I have a son who is in eighth grade. He is having a hard time with division. I have switched him to developmental math and placed him in level 9 and he has been understanding division better because of the visuals. My question is should I just keep him in developmental math and have him finish by the end of freshman year and then put him into some algebra? What grades is developmental math for anyways??? btw: We are using Charlotte Mason style for our homeschool and I would prefer to use something that has a more living math feel to it. And, no, I don't see him going to a 4 year college so practical suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
