I think you should look at AlphaPhonics and Phonics Pathways. IMHO, Spalding (WRTR) is superior to both of these, but they are still pretty decent.

R&S has way too much sight reading; I'm not familiar with either CLE, but just looking at the catalog I see that it has word and phrase cards, just as R&S's "We Learn About God" (first grade), and that's sight reading. I can't recommend anything that uses sight reading. It's been a gazillion years since I saw Little Patriots, so I can't comment on that at all. But I *do* know that both AlphaPhonics and Phonics Pathways are true phonics methods, so I can recommend them :-)
