package will not fit in the mailbox and no one is home, they are supposed to fill out a pickup slip and take the package back to the post office for pickup. Our mail carrier leaves packages on my porch, but we had a substitute carrier who left packages on top of the mailbox or put on the ground in front of the mailbox even though it was pouring rain. When I called to complain this is what I was told by the main office.
