I am so glad I ran across these posts today.
This is all one sided and I want to state my side.

This lady responded to my want to buy ad on The Well Trained MInd board offering to sell me discs I was looking for.

I responded and told her I was interested and asked if she had any others. She told me she had two other discs.
In the meantime a lady offered to sell me a new disc for a cheaper price. (I bought this disc from the other lady) I told her I would take the remaining discs.
I told her I needed to know the condition of the discs before I purchased them. She told me they had a few scratches but played fine.
One disc she had sold to someone else and
She decided not sell the other two discs she offered.
I sent her paypal for original offer.

Then the next day she offers me the two discs that were for sale, then not for sale. Her daughter decided not to keep them after all. She was going to post these on Vegsource (the 9th or 10th)in case I did not want them.
I sent paypal for those (Tuesday)and she said she would mail out by Thursday or Friday.

I got the discs the following week.
They were packaged in a box and were in bubble wrap.
As I opened each disc the lids fell off and were all broken. I could find no broken plastic in the box. So I proceeded to install the discs. They all install fine except for one. I looked and it had a pretty deep scratch on it. I have 3 computers. A new one with XP media, one that is one year old with XP and another that runs Windows 98.
I was intalling on the Windows 98 that only has kids software on it. The other discs run fine and never had a problem running anything on it. But this disc would not work.
I emailed her and let her know it would not install. I mentioned I thought it could be the deep scratch near the center of the discs and I had tried to install it on 3 different computers. I asked her if she had done a new install on it recently, that maybe it was scratched where the installation files might be. I also mentioned that all the cd cases were broken, no pieces found in the bubble wrap or box.
I get an email telling me she did a new install of this cd on all her computers before she sent it. The cd was fine. and she asked me to try to install it another way.
I tried and responded that it still would not install.
She sends me an email telling me she is a homeschool mom and not a business. I could send the disc back at my expense and she would examine it and let me know about a refund. She also gave me a numbered list of how I was to send this disc back if I wanted her to consider a refund and I had 24 hours to respond to her email or the offer was not good.
She told me I had to send it back in a box or bubble big deal.
I had to get delivery confirmation (at my expense)
I had to mail it by a certain date....etc etc.
I emailed her back and told her I did not feel like I should pay for return shipping if she sent me a scratched disc and I thought her long list of details I had to follow or she would not consider a refund were silly. If she is a homeschool mom and not a company then so be it, but don't expect so much in return from another person. She was expecting more from me returning the product than she did in actually shipping it to me.
I told her I would not send it back and be out more money not know if she was actually going to refund the money. I was going to send the disc to my brother and he was going to see if he could get it to work since he is a computer whiz.
I left it at that and she emailed me again and told me I was rude.
I just told her I did not care to discuss it further and what goes around comes around.

I actually felt like it was rude of her to expect more in my shipping to her than her to me. She did not tell me the disc covers were broken and the discs were really scratched, the one with a deep scratch. I am just thankful that the rest were useable.

I will not post want to buy ads anymore.
I had mixed feelings about doing this to begin with ssince the discs were not posted.
I definately won't buy cd's from anyone either.

Just wanted everyone to know there is two sides to this. Just the facts. I don't expect anyone to take sides. I am not wasting anymore time on this and I blocked her emails since she wanted to keep discussing it after I made my decision.
