I've been experiencing a problem with getting curriculum from a seller I paid a month ago, and it has left me skeptical from purchasing from other sellers on this board. It's such a shame because I've bought several items from this site, but that was a $60 item and I can't afford to lose that much again. I stumbled across welltrainedmind.com, and they also have a for sale forum. I really like their website set up, and I've used a coupon board that is set up just like it before. It shows how long a user has been a member, and they can receive feedback on their profile for items they've sold or traded. They are also not allowed to post for sale until they have 50 other posts on their site (which I realize might not be feasible on this site), and that helps you know whether the person is a scammer who doesn't really homeschool because you can read their posts. It's also nice to see how long they've been a member, because you know they have been invested in the site for awhile, and would have had membership revoked had they scammed people. The moderators also watch for ebay sellers and professional sellers and remove their posts. On a site like this, you could also revoke membership for those insisting you pay via personal method, which I now realize is against paypal policy (and thus dishonest). That would cut out a huge amount of scams. I'm not sure where to put this feedback to the website moderators, but I think it would really help cut back on scammers if some of these things were implemented. I also believe it would help the website grow rather than lose people buying and selling from lack of trust.
