Sorry to be so late in commenting here. I hope that Karen has broken ties with this person. This is definitely a scam. I received an almost identical offer about two years ago with my books list. The person wanted to have his driver come and pick them up BEFORE he even knew where I lived! That was the dead giveaway that this was a fraudulent buyer.
Cut ties immediately when your better judgment thinks it's not on the up and up. We are primarily "swapping" with honest homeschooling moms and to have someone say they want your address to come pick up your books when you haven't given your address out is really weird. We aren't purchasing in that manner, unless an arrangement is made after addresses are given and you're in the same town or nearby. You'll know the difference.
And never agree to accept a check or money order for more than the amount of your sale. That's a dead giveaway for a money scam.
