I have always shipped USPS- but in the last 3 months 2 of the packages and 2 letters I have mailed have gone missing. Of course the packages have to be the ones without insurance on them.- 1 even had a tracking number and the label reached the person's address with no package- the other was mailed 1st class mail and was the size of a large letter. Of course- I refunded their money right away. But it is getting costly- 1st to pack everything and to pay shipping cost then to go through the process of refunding. Not to mention having to send money orders twice to pay for something. When I include Insurance in the shipping price some people are unhappy-and then don't want to purchase my books because they say shipping costs are too high... but what can I do to protect them and myself. Note: I live in the Central US.

The whole thing makes me feel bad and others have bad feelings toward me now because of it.
Has anyone else had this happen recently and/or used other ways to ship- I know the other ways are probably more expensive but at least then maybe the books will make it there.
