I got the wrong answer too, but it is still in the agreement with paypal. They should get paid for providing the service. I also noticed some sellers are asking the buyer to pay the fee, and that is a definite no no. The seller, in agreeing to the paypal terms, agrees to NOT charge the buyer a fee to cover the paypal expenses. I didn't know that either until I was reading the agreement.
I am not going to ask people to use the personal option or ask for them to cover the fee. I will simply add a little to the books or not offer the paypal choice. My guess is that if there is problem with a seller, and the buyer used the personal option, they might not be covered unless they could prove it was a buyer/seller transaction. In that case, then the seller might lose their paypal privileges.
