I am often being asked now to use the "personal" option when purchasing, in order to avoid fees on Paypal. This seems dishonest to me. The only possible thing I could "check" under personal that borders on the truth is "money owed", which is not completely true either, as it implies that I already have whatever it is I am paying for. The last seller wanted me to mark my payment a "gift" under personal! What protection would I have as a buyer if I never received the item? I recently had to file a complaint with Paypal due to not receiving an item or any communication, and the person refunded my purchase price. What would I say to Paypal regarding a "gift"? That I changed my mind? In my opinion, sellers need to either build the fees into their prices, or ask for another form of payment. I think this is going to be an ongoing problem, now. Opinions?
