Subject:         Duped on WTB boards?

I tend to be very trusting and overly cautious to be sure others can trust me. I think my nature has caught me totally off guard. I posted a WTB, got a legitimate looking response from a lady giving her name and city, commenting on also being from Iowa. She also gave me her email address to which I sent a PayPal payment for the book she claimed to have. Now despite a couple of emails sent to make sure she received the payment and to verify that my book was on its way, I have never heard from her again.

I am seldom quick to jump to conclusions as I know all people have life crisis that can keep them from their computer, but this has been 2 weeks since our initial contact and 10 days since I sent the money. She was quick to reply initially and I have not received any correspondance from her whatsoever since the money was sent.

Have people had this happen before? Does anyone know a Colleen in Clinton, IA with "homeschool3" as her email name? Thanks.
