Just one extra suggestion. When I respond to someone I always tell them I will hold it for 24 hours (or whatever you are comfortable with.) Then they know they have a time limit and cannot (or should not) complain if they miss the deadline.

If I know there is someone else interested I also let the first person know that. Sometimes when they know they are not the only one they will respond faster. I have even e-mailed them after 12 hours or so and told them that someome else is interested so be sure to let me know by teh deadline or it will go to the next person.
