Subject:	Is it innocent or bait and swap?

I hate to believe that anyone on this board would do someone wrong, but obviously from the number of problems there are...people do. I now have a question of concern and hope you all can help me.

I located a seller with a SET of books she was selling. [At this point, I will withhold her name in hopes she resolves this.] I copied and pasted her posting in my email and inquired on availability. The listing CLEARLY stated her price and everything. She responded stating it was still available. I wrote back and asked if she would consider paypal or google checkout only because I am nervous [after reading here about the many problems] of paying someone and never getting the goods. She declined and I responded that I understood and sent my address. This morning, I dropped her check for the amount she requested which CLEARLY stated S&H was included in the mail. I got home, only to find an email from her stating she misstated the price and forgot the S&H and someone else is now interested in the books.

I don't know what to do. I want the books, but I now have a REALLY bad taste about doing this. This is my first year homeschooling and I am trying to get the hang of how you all do things. She says she has sold here and on Amazon for years and has a great report.

Can someone please tell me what I should do or how to handle this? Is there a reporting location where I can submit our email correspondence and have her reported should she not rectify the situation?
