Subject:         Some items sold by Karen Brown not in condition advertised.
Date: March 13, 2009 at 11:45 am PST

I purchased some consumables from Karen Brown and some were perfect but two were not. I originally, before buying them, asked if they were written in. She said upon looking at them two were but it could be erased and she offered to do so for me. I never heard back from her otherwise, so I assumed they erased fine. When I received the books they had a note from Karen saying she erased all she could but I might have to white out over it. I tried to erase it myself and it will not come off. If I white it out my child will not be able to write over it. I e-mailed her and explained to her that she should have e-mailed me and told me it would not erase, I spent as much as they would have cost me new, and if I had known they could not be erased I would not have purchased them from her. I also waited quite some time on the books as I sent her a check and it showed the check cleared my bank but supposedly her bank could not tell her for sure it cleared and advised her to wait 10 days before shipping my books. I ask for $5 of my money back. She refused saying it cost her almost that for shipping. I e-mailed her and told her I originally ask if her prices were postage paid and she had the opportunity at that time to ask for postage from me. Since she does not take pay pal, I have no recourse but to make sure this does not happen to anyone else by posting to others that some of her items are not as she advertises.

Hope this helps someone as I am at a loss in this,

Robin
