We have both been to our local post offices ( I have been to 3) and followed their advice with no results. We have filled out forms on-line, no luck. I don't think most post offices will put any time into actually tracing a package unless it has insurance on it. At least the buyer knows that I did mail the package and I have done everything I know to do to get the post office to do something. You are lucky to have such a customer-oriented local post office.
