In Reply to: Does anyone know how to get the P.O. to track a package that was last scanned at a postal facility 3-4 weeks ago? posted by Diana's Books Nook 09/17/08 on September 3, 2008 at 6:37 pm:
A few weeks ago, I was checking on the delivery confirmation of a package, and it stated that delivery was attempted in Denver, when it was supposed to have been sent to a home in Seattle. The post office website also stated that if my buyer didn't pick up the box within two days, it was going to be shipped back to me. I knew it was impossible for my Seattle buyer to pick up their box waiting for them in Denver. I rushed into our local post office, and told them my problem, and asked what they could do to help. A postal worker called the post office in Denver, and after quite a bit of time, she said that she had gotten things straightened out, and that the box was going to be headed in the right direction, and it did arrive at my buyer's home a few days later. What a relief! Now I always buy delivery confirmation. I don't understand why you haven't been able to get any one to help you at your local post office. I never filled out a form. Your post office should just call the California post office and tell them to not hold the box and head it on its way. I sure hope you can get this resolved.
