The other was my best friend Jo's ds Eli. He was diagnosed at age 1 with a very aggressive kidney cancer while she was in the hopital having gall bladder surgery (she was in the hospital for 3 weeks; it was supposed to be overnight!) After his surgery he ended up paraplegic, was in the hospital for 40 days, had radiation & chemo & was doing well, but today they discovered that it has returned. On Friday he will undergo numerous tests, and have surgery next week. This is a rare and extremely aggressive cancer, so if it's spread and surgery doesn't get it all, he could have as little as 5 weeks. Also, they have been nominated for Extreme Home Makeover; please pray they get it! They have a little bitty house with 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, & tiny living room, with 5 dc ages 2 (Eli) to 12, and one due in March. They were supposed to remodel after buying it, but 9/11 affected his business (tour bus co.) & they haven't had the money. Eli has a wheel chair & other equipment that takes up lots of room, plus all their homeschool stuff. Also please pray that if things don't go well I could get down (next state) as I haven't seen them since before all this started. (We went down last summer & gave them all whooping cough!)
