We home schooled in Hawaii and didn't have any trouble finding lots of stuff for the kids to do. There are several homeschool groups. MHEN (military home educator network) is a good place to start. They have a yahoo group e-mail. There is also a Navy home school group at Pearl Harbor. Good luck!
