Jana- I don't know where you are, but the majority of our homeschooling was done overseas which is not regulated at all. It was easier for me there than in our home state of Florida which is pretty lax overall. I only registered with an umbrella school when my son began high school because I did not want to have to create my own transcripts and keep records. I much prefer that a "real" school does that. I would say it depends on where you are and are going, and also what ages and/or grades your child(ren) are. Let me know if I can help or if you need more information. I use Crossroads Christian School in Florida. This is our 2nd year with them and so far, they have been great! Blessings! Michelle <><
