Actually, I grew up here in Guam and I have witnessed first hand the depressing state this place has sunk into. I am not Caucasian nor in the military. Like Lot who is running away from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, I will not be looking back as soon as I leave.
I am well aware of the "tropics" and how "beautiful" it is. However, I hate the tropics, I'm not too fond of "island critters", and I find European (not AMerican) culture to be more fascinating.
