You are moving to a fabulous area with a wonderful homeschool community. I don't think you will have any problem meeting other homeschoolers. Plus, the area is so rich in history, you will be able to take GREAT field trips.

The Home Educators Association of VA (HEAV) is a wealth of information. www.heav.org. Click on the "Support" link at the top. You will live in York Co., in the Tidewater area. You can check out different support groups in that area.

The HEAV Homeschool Convention is in June in Richmond at the Convention Center. I recommend checking it out. It is the largest homeschool convention in the U.S.

I know I haven't really given advice, but hopefully you will find the resources valuable.
