Most bases have a home school support group. The library is a good place to ask for a name of a home schooler. Some bases have a more structured group then others. For example at Holloman we meet once a month for bowling, twice a month for PE, once a month for Art and once a month for rock climbing. Plus seasonal parties and field trips. We have home schooled from the start and the one thing I have learned is you can over socialize then not accomplish what you need in school.
