I applaud your willingness to step out of your comfort zone! I have found that Weaver Curriculum from Alpha Omega is good. It it multi level (meaning you can use it for both your first and your third grader and teach them at different levels), and very Charlotte Mason style. It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but basically, you need three binders: the "volume", the "wisdom words" and the "day by day." You can usually get Volume 1 on ebay fairly cheap. It covers language arts, science, social studies, and art. She has suggestions for spelling and has some wonderful teaching tools included in each volume. The "day by day" is a lesson plan, if you don't want to do one yourself. The great thing about this curriculum is its flexibility and one volume may last you 2 years if you want it to. It is very hands on, and my children have really enjoyed it. There is another invaluable book that is often sold with Volume 1 called Teaching Tips and Techniques that has wonderful suggestions, research, etc. It is not a workbook type curriculum. Mom is very involved. This does not include math. I, too, use Math-u-See which is kind of pricey to get started, but I have found it good.
In general, unit studies are what you want to look at to mimic the Charlotte Mason style. I know this is a late post, but maybe it can help for later!
