HOMESCHOOLERS: We have some very cool advertisers on this website, and as VegSource is supported by advertising, we're happy about that. If you can't see any ads, you might have an ad blocker, or a setting in your browser which blocks ads from showing up. Consider turning on ads while on vegsource so that you can see what they have to offer, and so that this site can remain free.

We've home-educated for 18 years (6 kids) on one
blue-collar income. We bought a non-consumable math
program for our first daughter (which the publisher
has changed so it's no longer non-consumable). We
don't use "lesson plans" published by others, for
the most part, but rather a Charlotte Mason plan of
reading living books and narrating from them. The
only cost is the living book. I've bought many
online or at library sales. Project Gutenberg and
other sites have classics available free to print.
Those are some of the ways I've cut costs... Need
to go, but I can share more if we get a discussion
going. :)

Thankfully,
Colleen M.
