We are currently using living books, I will never return to textbooks. They give the children the history in a storybook form. The children retain so much more with the living books. I am completely impressed with my Kindergartener reciting the reasons for the French and Indian War, Comments George Washington and Ben Franklin had made. He can tell you all about The Declaration of Independence why, who and where. The living books are so much fun and the children want to learn, they love to learn. They can not wait til story time. I have also seen a tremendous improvement in their writing skills. The creative writing and essay papers are just amazing. I can only recommend living books 100%. Have fun!!!! I have used text books and will never go back. I am currently teaching all 3 boys K,4th,and 6th.
