I have been using SL for 3 years. I love it. I spent this last summer pooring over CM approach. I love it as well and find some similarities. I use the read a louds from SL as an opportunity to have my children practice narrarating. I do not use SL language arts. I switched over to Bravewriter which is a fantastic writing program that follows CM to the T. It works well with SL. We do dictation which you could choose to pull from SL readers. CM pushes reading a lot of classic literature which somewhat is included in SL. CM reads alot of poetry and Shakespeare. Nature walks and nature journals are also big with CM. This is usually pretty easy to include in any science program. It can actually be your science program if you have young elem. kids. These are just a few ideas off the top of my head. Hope it helps.
