There are a few books that might help you out. Ruth beechick you can teach your child successfully grades 4 -8. I am still fairly new to charlotte mason approach, though it seems like we have been doing it close to her style anyway. Through God's grace right? lol My son was turned off Simply grammar the wording confused him sometimes, but that could have been just him. We use Language Arts through literature and he loves it. It is a Mason approach that is meets the standards. Let me know how you do with the Simply Grammar program.
